If controlled by electronic means, security entrances provide access and data about people entering and leaving a building. The objective is to safely screen individuals' egress into and out of a facility. For facilities requiring additional security, electronic activated doors can have the ability to interact with other technologies can provide quicker reaction time to incidents. The software provided by the access control company may be able to interact with other software. The interaction using API (Application Programming Interface) technology. ELI could be programmed to provide input.

USE CASE ELI AND ACCESS CONTROL

CCTV can interact with other external systems. Video surveillance tools such as vision analytics including motion detection, access control and intrusion detection are examples of interaction of video with other systems. These systems are very good and getting better. Using ELI the interaction is somewhat reversed. An ELI notification could automatically trigger the closet camera to an incident and put the video on the main monitor in security. ELI relies on an eyewitness to trigger the event. Analytics are not required.

ALERT AND ALARM SYSTEMS

Alert SystemsThere are many security apps available. These apps are purpose-built tools to provide personnel safety and security. Whether panic buttons, silent beacons, or check in type tools they all provide an individual with a greater sense of security. Safety apps whether commercial use toolset the covers a broader security sector or personal tools can benefit from adding ELI location based pinpoint mapping. Incidents often occur not where the eyewitness is standing. ELI is the tool that provides exact location from an eyewitness who may be viewing the issue from a safe distance.
Alarm SystemsAlarm systems provide notification to authorities of fire and threats. Annunciators mass notify that an occurrence is taking place. Alarm systems can be triggered electronically through sensors or activation by an eyewitness. ELI requires an eyewitness to trigger the notification. Working in tandem with alarm systems, ELI could trigger local alarm notification as well as 911 but with the distinction of providing an exact location map and an exacting description of the issue.
